No more drake hunting. Now what to do for item hunting?
As of yesterday they took out drake hunting since everyone abused it.. friend got 3 golden items in 40 minutes of drake whoring.. so they drop fewer rare items so it's probably pointless to go drake whoring unless its for XP..
Any suggestions as to a new location? W/MO20 btw. |

I was looking at the creature beastiary here at gwg and noticed that no one mentions the level 5 river drake in pre searing. I have been whoring this thing for days...

I can easily do drake runs with henchies but i rarely ever get anything, aside from maybe a normal blue sword here and there thats Precious The one purple item I got was with a party of other human players ;\ but then the loot is so split aganist you the chances of getting something are crap |

The loot is also split to henchies, it just doesn't show that any fell if it's gets assigned to them. So the odds are the same whether you're with henchmen or a RL group. Best setup is go with a group of friends/guildies who can trade out if an elementalist gets a nice axe or a ranger gets a sweet fire staff.

The ideal solution, of course, is to dynamically adjust creature drops to match hunting pressure--if a herd of people heads off to the 'rich' hunting ground to get their goodies, then the goodies drop off dramatically (and show up elsewhere in the world instead).
Keeps people spread out and not camping one spot. Hmm if the dragons are suddenly poor, perhaps the devs have already done it... |

why are you wasting your time item hunting?
this game is designed so you don't have to do that to have awesome equipment. item farming is for those other games. |

I am glad they did this. There were a bunch of players who would pretend they were doing the mission, when all they ever planned to do was farm drakes. This was very annoying to those who were actually trying to do the mission.

i never sell a blue, purple, or yellow item. EVER. If I find it. It belongs to me |

i don't sell anything to players, i don't grind, i don't crap hunt, i'm not wanting for anything, have about 10 plat, have resources coming out of my but, and i just hit 20...i've also pimped out 2 alts with fantastic gear.
so why the hell does anyone need to farm anything or spam the trade channel peddling crap? Are they just sitting on mountains of gold for the pure joy of hoarding it?? Or are they such impulsive buyers themselves that they are constantly upgrading their equipment when they don't really need to, and have to do this just to support their habit of buying crap?? Play how you want, but i just don't understand why people want to waste their time in this game grinding, farming and spamming when it's completely unnescessary. I think these people may have just been brainwashed into thinking crap farming was fun by all those other games, and now can't break out of the habit.
